Meditation, Qigong and Mindfulness
Caroline offers both guided meditation and informative training that includes the latest research about the benefits of meditation and mindfulness. Private sessions can be tailored to individual interests and abilities.
Benefits – research tells us ….
There’s good evidence with studies reporting that meditation helps relieve our subjective levels of anxiety and depression, and improve attention, concentration, and overall psychological well-being. Meditation is an active training of the mind to increase awareness, and different meditation programs approach this in different ways. Meditation isn’t a magic bullet for depression, as no treatment is, but it’s one of the tools that may help manage symptoms.
Studies have shown that meditation reduces mind-wandering and self-referential thoughts – a.k.a., “monkey mind.” Since mind-wandering is typically associated with being less happy, ruminating, and worrying about the past and future, it’s the goal for many people to reduce this. And even when the mind does start to wander, because of the new connections that form, meditators are better at snapping back out of it.
It is never too late to learn mindfulness and meditation. MRI images taken during mindfulness studies have shown that meditation novices have been able to re-wire their brains within 8 weeks. The neuroplasticity of the brain works in favour of our wellbeing – the more we practice mindfulness and meditation. Letting go more easily of thoughts that cause tension and stress and being more accepting of situations, people and things outside our control.
Caroline’s meditation teaching …
…..covers a range of practical mindfulness techniques that can be easily integrated into lives. Great for the beginner as well experienced meditators.

Qigong is an active form of meditation…
Qigong is a mindfulness practice that Caroline does daily and finds energising and balancing. It stimulates energy, relaxes the body, enhances flexibility, settles the mind, focuses intention and fosters a sense of compassion and oneness with others and the Universe.
Caroline enjoys sharing 35+ years of meditation experience which includes attendances at Buddhist silent retreats, Yoga retreats and daily practice that has been integrated into her life.
